Access to Arpoador is via the beach, along an approximately 10 to 12 km stretch from Tutóia. 4x2 vehicles can make the journey, provided the route is traveled during low tide. Guests should therefore plan arrival and departure times according to the tide schedule.

Inside the village, some roads have deep sand, and certain local trips may require a 4x4 vehicle or local transfer service.
